Our history


Our company was established in the early 1990s as a small traditional IT consultancy focused on supplying mainframe business systems development to the utilities sector.

As a result of the substantial growth of networks and personal computing through the mid-1990s we expanded our offerings to provide skills in bespoke application development and infrastructure consulting.

By 1998 our company had grown to employ some 50 members of staff generating revenues of £2.7m. Our focus during this time was on providing services around Microsoft technologies; architecture and business solutions.

Establishing a vertically aligned focus in the late 1990’s enabled us to continue servicing our existing client base and effectively establish a presence and brand recognition across the government, health, media, utilities, financial services, legal and other commercial sectors in the UK.

2003 marked our first acquisition. Perseus Support Services specialised in providing cost-effective multi-vendor support and licensing services. The acquisition effectively doubled our client base and strengthened our capabilities in data centre support.

Our second acquisition occurred in 2004. The Computing Practice was an ideal fit; its core business was around the enterprise resource planning software Microsoft Navision, while its subsidiary Oryx focused on SAP Business One.

Both Perseus Support Services and The Computing Practice are now fully integrated in our business, and our services across a range of vendors’ technology are a key differentiator from our competitors.

Today, our vibrant company serves over 200 clients, primarily in the media, legal, local and central government, financial and utilities sectors.
