Easy offline working for portal users

Trinity Expert Systems has today released a SharePoint Portal Server tool that allows simple check out and go document functionality within a portal.

The check out and go tool allows one click access to check out and save a document to a local hard drive. When the user is back online, it also allows single click access to automatically upload the document and check it back in.

“The check out and go tool means that remote or offline workers can quickly access an online document and check it out to amend it,” states Steve McDonagh, sales and marketing director. “The check out functionality ensures multiple versions of the document aren’t created, and versions don’t overlap.”

The tool is available for use with both SharePoint Portal Server sites, and Windows SharePoint Services team sites.
