Understanding the challenges that NHS Trusts face with IT

Trinity Expert Systems, a Healthcare Partner continues to pursue a high rate of involvement in NHS Trusts for collaboration solutions based upon the SharePoint platform to help meet their specific process, service and technology needs.

Trinity was recently invited to preview the new NHS CUI Guidance and Solution Enablers that are set to benefit NHS Trusts. A number of training events organised by Microsoft have been set out to ensure Healthcare partners are able help NHS Trusts move up the NHS Infrastructure Maturity Model (NIMM)

NHS CUI Guidance and Solution Enablers

Microsoft’s Common User Interface (CUI) Programme is working on ways to help the NHS get the most out of IT and to improve efficiency and patient safety. The Knowledge Worker Tools team is part of the programme that is creating guidance and Solution Enablers to tackle the challenges faced by NHS Trusts, without the need for new IT or bespoke development.

• Guidance: Exists for deploying best practice IT in NHS Trusts. The guidance is intended to save time, maximise results and operational flexibility, and minimise the scope for error.
• Solution Enablers: These are SharePoint templates created for the NHS to accelerate the creation of collaboration solutions. The Solution Enablers are packaged together in a model implementation for quick deployment that highlights the features that are particularly relevant to the NHS, such as Managing Meetings. They use technologies licensed by the NHS under the Microsoft/NHS Enterprise Agreement.
